Lorne’s Trans Canada Trail Treasure Hunt
May 30 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
An event every month that begins at 8:00 am on day 30 of the month, happening 4 times
A fun treasure hunt in rural Manitoba will pass through the Municipality of Lorne in search of interesting facts about the communities that the Trans Canada Trail encompasses.
The Lorne’s Trail Committee will host a scavenger hunt during the months of May through September. Initially, this hunt was scheduled to take place last summer but was postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions.
They will challenge and encourage people to explore the trail, enjoy the fresh air and explore the broad diversity of the trail landscape.
The committee has 15 treasure-hunting boxes located along the route. In each box are ballets, which are numbered and identified with specific sections along the trail with Lorne.
Participants will be allowed one ballot per station, which is to be placed in a ballot tin at the Lorne Municipal Office in Somerset. Participants are to label each ballot with their name, phone number and/or email address.
The competition is to run from May 1st long weekend to Sept long weekend.
Prizes to be drawn will have a Trans Canada Trail and/or Canadian-themed apparel.
