Spectacular Campgrounds in Central Manitoba
Trying to plan a camping trip in Manitoba for summer 2021, but your favorites are quickly booking up? Don’t despair, there are still a LOT of campsites available in central Manitoba!
Discover an Island on the Prairies! Reservations for camping at the Portage Ex Campground are now open and reservations can be done online! The campground is conveniently located near Portage Golf Course, Splash Island Water Park, Stride Place, and Island Park Family Park & Play. The campground offers 44 sites with electric and water service, 30 Amp hook-ups, 24-Hour clean modern washrooms, Coin-operated showers, and an Entertainment building available.
King’s Park Campground boasts 44-site camping in the heart of Carman’s King’s Park with electric and water service for tents and RVs. It is surrounded by many activities such as The Carman Dufferin Pool, The Splash Pad, tennis courts, playgrounds, skatepark, ball diamonds, picnic shelters, and Carman Golf and Curling Club, and walking trails. Camping reservations can be done online and will open in the coming weeks.
Miami, Manitoba
The Miami Park Campground is open from May to October and features pull-through 15/30 amp and water service. Site amenities include BBQ grills, tables, firewood, and waste disposal. The campground has modern washrooms with showers and a nearby playground. Call 204-435-2457 to reserve your campsite.
Reserve your spot at a location with so much to do, you will need a full week to experience everything Morden has to offer. Book a spot for your family at Splish Splash Morden— a floating water park on the lake, Explore the Lake Minnewasta trails, or spend the day at the beach. Reservations can be made online and open on May 1st for those wishing to book a daily, weekly or monthly spot. The Altona campground is located along the southern border of Buffalo Creek Nature Park, which is adjacent to Altona Centennial Park. With Altona’s many other attractions including the Aquatic Centre, Gallery in the Park, Oakview Golf course, baseball diamonds and Sunflower Selfie Field, it’s the perfect place to call home during the summer.
Amenities include serviced sites with 30 amp electrical and water, Washroom and shower facilities, firewood available for sale (from the staff at the Recreation Office – 204-324-9005) Excellent playground facilities!
